Gamers was a speculative television pilot that I wrote and directed right out of college. To quote the show’s home page,

“‘Gamers’ is a single-camera, filmed comedy TV series that throws out the typical studio production conventions and is presented in a style that Gamers can relate to and appreciate. Written and independently produced by actual Gamers, this speculative television series promises to be everything that ancient movies and TV shows like The Wizard and Captain N weren’t: smart, in touch, and most importantly– entertaining to all types of Gamers.”

When I originally put the Gamers trailer online, it garnered a great deal of attention and led to me running around Hollywood for a few days pitching the show to TV networks. Although Gamers never ended up being produced, it helped to begin my writing career and taught me a lot about spec pilots. The Gamers trailer:

The trailer is actually much more representative of my overall vision for the show than the first episode is in its entirety. I’m really proud of what we put together with amateur actors on a shoestring budget, but there is definitely a lot that I’d change if I were to do it all over again.
